Project Alpha
Banshee Project Alpha is the working title for Banshee Interactive’s prototype; intended as either stand-alone experience or framework for high-integrity IP expansion.
Banshee Project Alpha is designated internally as primary source fiction, and serves as a semi-autobiographical work of the Creative Director, David Roberts.
The project deals with levels of personal distance; an early-2000s gothic lens on mid-1970s post-Vietnam fallout, further distanced by two decades of professional creative maturity.
Roberts’ choice of tagline: “This is not a simulation,” is neither coincidental nor aesthetic. As Creative Director he wishes to utilise the mediums strengths, specifically eliminating the need for empathy.
By placing the player directly into the shoes of the avatar, a video game forces the player to reconcile personal action with equal and opposite reaction.
Conceptual visual style builds on real-world fieldwork; high-fidelity internationally-recognised photographic imagery captured through 2022-2025.
As of 2026.03 core gameplay mechanics, narrative roadmap, and three pillars — including USP & Comps. — are available and will be presented to suitable parties in due course.
Banshee Project Alpha is in early-stage execution, not conceptualisation.
